Natural Selection - Michigan addresses the motorcycle helmet law

It looks like the Michigan state House panel has approved legislation that would let motorcyclists ride without helmets under certain conditions. This is another step toward this measure reaching the governor's desk for the first time.

The bill passed 10-5 in the House Transportation Committee. It would allow riders who are 21 years and older to ride without a helmet provided they are properly licensed for at least two years or take a safety course. They would also be required to carry $10,000 in personal injury protection insurance.

Motorcyclists are expected to be at the Captiol Wednesday when the House will vote on the subject.

Hearing this news, I look at it as 'natural selection'. If you are dumb enough to ride without a helmet, you can't complain about the concequences...
